1960 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop – Rust Free AZ/CA Car - A/C - Very Clean!

This 1960 Ford Thunderbird 2-door hardtop is a beautiful survivor with a great presence, clean lines, and a solid foundation. Finished in crisp white over a two-tone blue interior, it's a rust-free California-Arizona car that looks fantastic and turns heads wherever it goes. We bought it a couple of years ago from a local gentleman who had started restoring it, and we've since put time and money into sorting the car mechanically while keeping it as honest as possible.

A Local Story, A Classic Worth Finishing:
The previous owner had begun restoring the car when he needed to sell it, and we picked it up with the intent of taking it to the next level. We've since invested over $3,000 going through the power steering system, rebuilding the carburetor, and fully servicing the power windows, new motors, switches, the whole deal. What we ended up with is a very presentable, nicely optioned Squarebird that's well on its way to being a standout cruiser. We're simply thinning the herd and letting someone else finish what's already a solid head start.

Condition at a Glance:
Exterior: The body is straight and clean with no rust issues. White paint presents well, complemented by excellent chrome bumpers and trim. Grille is in great shape. A few minor cosmetic pieces are missing (like the trunk lock cover), but overall the car shows very nicely.

Interior: The two-tone blue upholstery is in good, driver-quality shape. Dash pad is clean, steering wheel is solid. Gauges, radio, A/C, and horn are currently non-functional.

Mechanical: Runs and drives. Recent work includes carb rebuild and complete power steering system service. Power windows are now functional. Speedometer works but is off by several MPH, and the cable makes noise — likely needs lubrication. Still needs some sorting, but it's a strong starting point.

Underside & Trunk: Undercarriage is clean and solid. Exhaust system is in good condition. Trunk is tidy with correct mat and spare (no jack). Some weatherstripping is aged and should be replaced.

Wheels & Tires: Whitewall tires are older and should be replaced before extended driving. No hubcaps included.

Closing Statement:
This is a very solid, mostly-sorted 1960 Thunderbird that's better than most in its class. The expensive, heavy lifting has been done. It looks great, drives, and just needs someone to button up the details. Whether you're mechanically inclined or simply want an honest classic you can drive and improve over time, this Squarebird is an ideal entry point.
