1964 Buick Electra 225 4dr HT Survivor - Loaded - AC - Super Wildcat Dual Quads

This 1964 Buick Electra 225 is a remarkably well-preserved survivor with just 72k original miles. Sold new at Russ Buick in Fargo, North Dakota, it retains most of its factory black paint, its original silver cloth and vinyl interior, and carries its original numbers-matching KT-code 401ci Nailhead V8.

What makes this car stand out is the addition of a Super Wildcat dual-quad intake setup with correct finned aluminum valve covers and linkage. The installation looks factory-correct and appears to have been done many decades ago, possibly at the dealership when new. It runs beautifully, both carburetors work properly, and the setup gives the car the rare Super Wildcat look and performance.

This Electra is documented with its original Protect-O-Plate, manuals, and dealer folder. The body, chrome, and interior remain largely untouched, with only the headliner replaced using correct SMS material. Underneath, the car is rust-free, solid, and very well cared for, an exceptional example of long-term preservation.

Exterior:
Finished in factory black, about 75% of the paint remains original, with the rear quarters and doors refinished years ago. The car shows beautifully as a survivor, with light patina, stone chips, and touch-ups typical of an unrestored finish. Chrome and stainless trim are outstanding with no pitting, glass is crystal clear, and the original wheels wear newer tires with excellent hubcaps. Fender skirts complete the classic long-body Electra look.

Interior:
The interior is 100% original except for a new SMS-correct headliner. Original silver cloth and vinyl upholstery, carpets, dash pad, steering wheel, and gauge cluster all remain in excellent condition. All power accessories function, including windows, locks, antenna, and trunk release. The factory AM/FM radio powers up but currently produces no sound. Courtesy lights are inoperative, otherwise all gauges and accessories work as intended.

Mechanical:
Powered by its numbers-matching 401ci Nailhead V8, this Electra runs strong with its dual-quad setup feeding smoothly. Both carburetors function properly, giving the car excellent performance while maintaining Buick's trademark luxury ride. The A/C system has been fully serviced, retains its original R12 Freon, and blows ice cold. The car has been recently tuned and mechanically sorted, including a new heater core. Everything from the gauges to the power options is in working order.

Trunk:
Original from top to bottom. Jack, spare, mat, and trunk liner are all intact and well preserved. Even the spare tire appears to be original.

Underside:
Rust-free and clean, showing excellent long-term care. Structurally solid with no known issues.

In Closing:
This Electra is a rare combination of originality, documentation, and period performance upgrades. With its numbers-matching 401ci Nailhead and correct Super Wildcat dual-quad setup, it delivers the look and feel of Buick's hottest luxury sedans of the era. A true survivor that has been preserved, maintained, and enjoyed, this Electra is an outstanding opportunity for the next collector.
