1953 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep 4x4 - Fully Restored - Show Quality - .50 Cal !

This is one of the most outstanding 1953 Willys M38A1 military jeeps available on the market, and it's among the finest I've seen in quite some time. It underwent an extensive, meticulous restoration from the ground up to meet show-quality standards, a process that was completed just a few years ago. This is an authentic, genuine M38A1 that was actively used in service. Its superb body condition suggests it likely saw light service. This isn't merely an old jeep spruced up with new paint for appearances. This vehicle was restored to a standard that is potentially even better than its original condition. The precision, finish, and overall quality of the restoration are exceptional. It also boasts a plethora of period accessories, including radio equipment, a replica .50 Cal machine gun, a canvas top, and much more!

This model represents the updated and enhanced version of the Willys Military jeeps constructed prior to 1950. It served as the foundation for the Jeep CJ5 and all subsequent models that are cherished today. It retains the 24-volt electrical system, a waterproof ignition system, and the more robust Willys Hurricane F-Head 134 inline-four engine. These engines were designed with sealed air intakes and carburetors, enabling them to withstand complete water submersion. The drivetrain features the T90 3-speed manual transmission, Dana front and rear axles, and a Dana transfer case for the 4-wheel drive. Mechanically, this jeep was entirely rebuilt, adhering to factory OE specifications. It operates splendidly, offering a truly enjoyable driving experience.

The jeep's appearance is striking, adorned in its accurate Army green with stenciled numbers. The body is in excellent condition, entirely free of rust. All the original instrumentation, gauges, and lights function as intended. The accessories on this remarkable display piece are plentiful, featuring a replica 50-caliber machine gun with dummy ammunition on a pedestal mount, radio equipment complemented by a whip antenna, a rear jerry can, a canvas water bag, a complete first aid kit, a shovel, a top frame with a canvas cover, blackout lights, a full-size spare tire, a side mirror, and a comprehensive original tool kit. This vehicle is guaranteed to attract attention at every Cars & Coffee event
