1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible - Estate Find - Selling At No Reserve!

Here is a very nice, older restoration of an exceptionally well running and driving 1957 Thunderbird that was recently acquired out of an estate here in Phoenix, AZ. It is a factory original Raven Black car with Black Hardtop and Black and White interior. It has the 245hp 312 Cu Inch V8 engine and 3 speed manual transmission with Overdrive. Mechanically, this little T-Bird seems to be in exceptional condition. It runs smooth and quiet and actually drives very nice. The transmission shifts good and the clutch feels strong. It has power steering that works great! The brakes were recently replaced and the tires and exhaust system look almost new. I don't know any of the history on this car but it appears to have been fairly well taken care of although it will probably still need some light tinkering to make it a reliable and fully functional collector car.

Cosmetically, I would call the car a solid condition 3 or driver quality car. I suspect the paint is an older paint job and upon close inspection, has its' share of flaws and chips, etc. but it shows very well and looks great driving down the street, as my photos show! The body is extremely solid, but in the interest of full disclosure, I will mention that there are several small rust spots in the floor pan area and a small 4 inch by 6 inch repair to the driver's floor pan. Very minor rust issues. The chrome trim is fair and the bumpers in particular will need to be chrome plated at some point. The interior is very nice with new carpets and very nice dash. The seats and door panels look great but the foam in the seats has hardened in the Arizona heat. The hardtop will need a new headliner and it is a hardtop-only car.

This 1957 T-Bird is the most desirable year of the Baby Birds and it is definitely the most desirable color combination! It runs and drives great and looks good cruising down the street!
