1955 Ford Thunderbird

1955 Ford Thunderbird - Partially Restored AZ Car - NO RESERVE!

Here is a very nice, easily restorable, 1955 Thunderbird and very possibly a life long Arizona car and it shows! It was recently removed from long term storage to be restored by the previous owner but sadly he didn't live long enough to see his dream come true. It is a factory Goldenrod Yellow car with Black and Yellow interior and will easily, one day, be a gorgeous early T-Bird again!

It is equipped with the following options:

292 Cu In V8
Automatic Transmission
Power 4-way seat
AM Radio
Optional Hardtop ( rear window glass is missing)

He recently spent over $5,500 on the car mechanically to make it a very nice running and driving car again! This included new fuel system and gas tank; new brakes and lines; new belts, hoses and tune-up; new radiator; new shocks and newer ww tires.

It looks like the car was undercoated many years ago and other than a few tiny pin holes in one spot of the floor pan under the spare tire and also next to the gas pedal, it is otherwise a gorgeous, rock solid body with no evidence of any past repairs and is as rust free as you would expect an Arizona car to be! As you can see in my photos, it does need a new paint job. It appears to have had just one color change over the original paint and with very minimal body work, would be a very straight forward and easy project!

The interior is very nice with relatively new upholstery and would need very little attention once the new paint finish is applied. It is missing the horn ring. The car is very complete and the exterior trim will need polishing and rechroming. The port hole hardtop will need a new headliner and the rear window is missing. The radio and heater are not working.

This will make an easy and straight forward restoration for even the most novice of hobbyists and the end result will be the envy of everyone! These early T-Birds are notorious for rust, but this one is exceptionally clean and rock solid! It is getting harder and harder to find unmolested, original cars like this!
