Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #3+ (Great Custom Driver)

Here is a very cool, unique and one-of-kind 1980 Chevrolet Silverado Half-Ton Crew Cab Short Box Custom that is in excellent condition inside and out. This is one of the only Square Body Crew Cab Short Box Half Ton pickup trucks you'll ever see as it has been totally custom built. It was built right here in sunny Arizona and finished in the last year. This original Arizona truck started as a 1-Ton 3500 Crew Cab Long Bed Dually and was professionally done by an owner of a body restoration shop locally in Mesa, AZ. For the restoration they started by taking all the 1-ton suspension off from under the truck then replacing it with half-ton suspension. They shortened the frame for a short box bed they bought and installed on the truck. They took everything apart and did a custom paint job with a two-tone satin black and gloss red center. The truck was lowered a touch for a very nice stance and great drivability. All the trim appears to have been redone and is in excellent condition. They placed a set of brand new and very cool custom 20" billet rally wheels wrapped in brand new tires which give it a fantastic look. The truck has looks that just don't quit and is a very unique square body pickup. They wanted to build this truck to drive so they took and put in a late-model 5.3L Fuel-Injected Vortec V8 engine with automatic transmission. It has also been setup for factory air conditioning and just needs some lines run for that to work. It has power disc brakes up front and power steering. The interior has been fully redone back to stock and looks fantastic. This is one cool truck that was built to be driven and used. The body restoration shop owner truly built this car to be driven and enjoyed and to show off for his shop but due to circumstances he has decided to sell it. They do bodywork for some of our classic cars and they offered the truck to us first so we bought it and we are now offering it back to the public at a fraction of the cost to build it. So here is your chance to get a very cool, one-off truck that nobody else has for an awesome price. This is a must see truck.

Exterior: *Condition #3+

The exterior of this truck is in excellent condition as the restoration was just completed in the last year. This is an original Arizona truck and is very solid and very straight with excellent fit and finish. The paint was just finished in the last year as well and looks amazing with its two-tone satin black and gloss red scheme. All the side trim and moldings are in very nice condition and looks to be all-new including the wheel opening moldings etc. All of the taillights and lenses are very nice and clear and bright. All of the door handles and mirrors are in very nice shape. The front grille is in super nice condition as well. The front bumper is the only part that shows a little age and still looks nice but if you want it perfect we suggest buying a new one or re-chroming it. Overall it has a really good look to it and certainly wont disappoint.

Interior: *Condition #3+

When you open the doors you will see that the inside has all been redone to factory looks. It has gray cloth seats that look great and sports a new dash pad cover that fits amazing. It is a really super clean interior, with a clean dash, gauges and trim throughout. It has custom speakers behind the bench seat which sound great with the CD stereo. It is missing a lens for the courtesy light but it can replaced easily. The horn does not work and the speedometer and wipers sometimes work intermittently but all the other gauges are in proper working order. All the weatherstripping appears to be new and the carpet and headliner look very nice and clean. Overall it is very nice and clean inside.

Mechanically: *Condition #3+

Mechanically the truck runs and drives very nice. The engine runs very strong and was installed with the correct ECU etc to run properly. It has a new battery, a K&N filter, a new radiator, new Flowmaster dual exhaust system with custom side outlets installed. It sounds excellent and drives down the road like a dream. The brakes are all good, the steering is great and it tracks well down the road. The gentleman who built it wanted a custom truck that could be driven but ran out of money. The truck needs an a/c compressor kit for a Vortec conversion which includes a custom built bracket and new a/c compressor that mounts the compressor on top of the engine. Plus the custom a/c lines, a charge of freon and you will have working a/c. So other than the air condition nothing else needs to be done to this truck and is ready to be driven and enjoyed immediately and we would not hesitate to drive it across the country.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3

The underside of this truck is really clean. It does appear to have a couple patch panels on the rocker and we do show that in the video but for the most part it is solid as a rock underneath. The suspension looks nice and clean, the exhaust system looks and sounds great and it has a new aluminum fuel tank. All in all it is very clean underneath and a great great driver.
