Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #3+ (Well Preserved Survivor)

This is a beautiful 1958 Cadillac Series 62 Extend Deck Sedan. It is a very well preserved true survivor as it appears to be mostly original throughout. This car has had wonderful storage its entire life and it shows wonderfully. It has 72k miles which we believe to be actual miles. This car is on consignment with us from one of our very good customers. He is a part time Cadillac collector and this is one from his collection that he doesn't use much so he asked us to sell it for him. 1958 is one of the best and rarest years for a Cadillac and we think one of the most beautiful years as well. This is a wonderful well reserved example and truly amazing. It is an extended deck sedan making it very unique as it is a little longer than a regular sedan. It is one of only 20,952 production models ever produced. Unbelievably the car has mostly original paint finished in its factory color Buckskin. The interior appears to be 100% all original with Beige Venetian Cloth & Beige Victoria Cloth and is in absolutely amazing condition. Even the trunk material looks beautiful as if it has rarely been used. The car appears to be completely rust-free throughout with a super straight body and excellent fit and finish. It doesn't appear to have ever been in an accident or taken apart. The car has definitely been properly maintained and garaged its entire life. It is even sitting on brand new set of American Classic wide white wall radial tires. This is a great investment piece as these original survivors are getting harder and harder to find and will be the ones that are worth the most in the future.

Exterior: *Condition #3

The exterior of this Cadillac is in wonderful condition and shows amazing. It is in its factory color of Buckskin which presents very well. We took a paint meter to the entire car and we would say it's about 85% all original paint with a few spots touched up here and there. It has a very nice finish and beautiful shine. It does have a couple thin spots and a few chips that have been touched up over the years but nothing major and adds a bit of patina to this gorgeous 60 year old car. Unbelievably all the chrome and trim on the car appear to be all original and are in amazing condition with only a few spots that show wear and are pictured and shown in the video. All the glass appears to be original and in excellent shape and condition. It is sitting on its beautiful original hubcaps with new American Classic wide white wall radial tires. The body is super straight down the side and has amazing fit and finish and appears to be a completely rust-free car throughout. Overall it is in amazing condition and shows beautifully.

Interior: *Condition #3+

The interior of this Cadillac is absolutely amazing, extremely well preserved and 100% all original except for the added Cadillac floor mats. It is one of the nicest original interiors we have seen on a 50s Cadillac bar none. It was ordered in Beige Venetian Cloth & Beige Victoria Cloth and is very clean, soft and supple. It has excellent original carpet with very minor wear under the mats. The dash and steering wheel are absolutely gorgeous showing hardly any wear at all. All the chrome and brightwork in the car is spectacular. Everything appears to work in the car except for the radio and power antenna but even the clock works which is unbelievable. Inside the trunk is super clean and original with its original material, jack, spare and jack instructions. The car even has its original weatherstripping which is still soft and pliable and in excellent condition and does need to be replaced.

Mechanically: *Condition #3+

Mechanically the car appears to be in very good condition. The consigner would drive the car to car shows in nice weather and has never had any issues with it. It has its original drivetrain, a 365ci V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission, that drive and shift smoothly. It drives, steers and stops great and doesn't appear to leak or smoke at all. It is only showing 72k miles which we believe to be original and runs like a top. Under the hood is all original and super clean with original paint on the engine and firewall and looks beautiful.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3+

The underside of this Cadillac is extremely clean and doesn't appear to have ever had any rust or repairs done. It still has its original rubber plugs in the floor pans showing the great storage and care it received. The exhaust system is an older exhaust system and could be replaced one day but isn't bad at all. The front suspension is not new but again is very clean and not caked with grease or anything. Overall it looks just like how a well maintained survivor should.
