Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #3++

This is a beautiful 1968 Mercury Cougar 2 door Hardtop in amazing condition inside and out. This car is very close to a true survivor, as it has mostly original paint and chrome with mostly original interior. This has always been a well kept and always garaged car its whole life. It was sold new in California at Boyer Motors in LA where it stayed until we brought it to Arizona here. It is totally rust free with a perfect body that has an amazing finish. With mostly original Saxony Yellow paint that looks absolutely amazing still, with all the original chrome and trim. This car is very well documented with only 99k original miles showing as if it only has 30k miles. It has the original Marty report, tons of original manuals and books, original warranty information showing original owners name, and the original California black plates that have been on the car since new with the original Boyer Motors license plate frames. This is just absolutely an amazing find with the original numbers matching 289ci V8 with a Factory 4-speed. It was originally a 2-barrel car but has but lightly upgraded with a 4-barrel intakes, aluminum radiator, and engine dress up kit but includes all the original equipment with the car. It will be hard to find a nicer one out there, this is just a real straight up top notch classic and a fine example of a 1968 Cougar.

Exterior: *Condition #3+

This is a beautiful 1968 Mercury Cougar that shows amazing and is pretty much a true survivor. This car still has mostly original paint finished in beautiful Saxony Yellow with original Black Pin Striping. The original paint finish is absolutely spectacular with only one spot on the right quarter that was touched up from a little scratch. With a totally rust free body that is as straight as an arrow. All of the exterior panels line up beautifully with just a few minor road imperfections from driving over the years but is overall, absolutely a spectacular finish. The chrome and all of the trim is in absolutely phenomenal original condition with stunning original condition glass and rubbers that are in amazing condition. The vinyl top is new in like new condition with original beautiful wheels on the car with gorgeous spinner optional wheel covers with like new Goodyear white wall tires on it. The hideaway headlights are in working order in amazing condition. This car just has a real nice presence to it, which you rarely find in a classic muscle car these days. Especially in a Cougar, which is even more rare to find. This is just a very true survivor car.

Interior: *Condition #2-

The interior looks to be mostly original and in absolutely amazing condition with new factory correct carpet installed in it. It is Light Nugget Gold with bucket seats that have all the seat belts present. The dash and gauge cluster are as clean as the day it was new with an absolutely beautiful headliner. The door panels are original and beautiful with jams and sill plates in amazing condition. The carpet has been replaced with an OEM set and looks amazing. The steering wheel is absolutely mint with a mint horn ring and center. It has the correct shifter. It is just a truly, extremely well taken care of vehicle that looks like it is just a couple years old inside. Everything appears to work in the car including the horn, gauges, light, heater, and courtesy lights. Interior wise this car is completely ready to go.

Mechanically: *Condition #3+

Mechanically, this car is in absolutely spectacular condition. It runs and drives excellent and is absolutely amazing with only 99k original miles and it shows. The car is very tight and is just a pleasure to drive with a numbers matching 289ci engine with a factory 4-Speed manual that is a blast to drive. It has an upgraded 4-barrel intake manifold and carb on it with a complete new exhaust system, aluminum radiator to keep it cool, and an engine dress up kit for looks. All of the original items that were upgraded, comes with the factory parts. The reason we left it with upgrades is because it runs way better this way. Under the hood is very clean and gorgeous with excellent brakes that stop great and steers well. Mechanically this car does not need anything and is completely ready to go.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3+

This Under Carriage on this vehicle is extremely clean and totally rust free with a nice and clean looking suspension and a new dual exhaust system. It is about as clean of an undercarriage as you can get. It does not appear to have any leaks and is just a very super clean, well taken care of original California car that is rust free.
