Overview:

Here is a very hard to find, 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible available to the world for the first time in decades. This is a true barn find as it has been stored away for several decades only to be discovered this past year. It is a mostly original car that has a great patina as is or would be an excellent restoration project. And the best part is that it is currently a running and driving car that could be driven as it sits or as you restore it. It shows 63K miles which we believe to be original but don't have any documentation. The car was found by a gentleman, who had dreams of having it restored. He got the car running and driving by servicing the brakes and fuel system. The car actually runs and drives better then some restored cars I've been in. It is overall very solid with some minor rust mostly in the rockers. The car is 100% complete and would be a very easy restoration. Don't miss out as cars like this don't come around very often.

Exterior:

This Buick is finished in its original color Artic White. It has a very cool patina look to it but is in need of a new paint job to be excellent. The body in super straight and it has excellent fit and finish. The car looks like it has never been apart. It has an overall very solid body and underside with very minimal rust. The only rust in the car and rust repair is in the front and rear of both rocker panels. There is just a little bit the floor but very minimal. I have tons on photos and video to show you in detail. All the chrome and trim is all there and in decent condition for a survivor/driver. All of the glass in in good condition but is does need all new rubbers. The blue soft top looks to be all original and in good condition over all. Plus it is power and works great. It is sitting on its original wheels and correct original hubcaps in great condition wrapped with white wall radial tires.

Interior:

The blue interior is in over all in very nice condition with the exception needing new carpets. I do not believe the seats are original. They are done in the correct pattern but are not done in leather, as I believe that is what it should have had. They do look good and very usable as they are. The dash and gauge cluster is in very good, original condition. The steering wheel looks great with only a couple hairline cracks. Most everything works in the car except for the clock and AM radio. Inside the trunk looks to be very original and solid with its correct spare and jack.

Mechanically:

It has original 401ci Wildcat V8 engine with automatic transmission. The car was sitting for many years. When it was pulled out of storage, it had all the fluids changed, fuel system gone through, brakes gone through, new battery and newer tires to make it a running and driving car. It is actually in great mechanical condition with no oil leaks or smoking. Under the hood is all stock and original. The car runs and drives very nice and smooth. The only thing I've noticed that is has a small power steering leak after it sits for several days that need to be repaired. The other thing I would do is put a new exhaust system on it, as I don't like older system currently on it. The car can be driven as it sits just fine. For any long trips I would go over it one more time.
