Overview:

Here is a beautiful, ultra rare 1990 Avanti 4dr Sedan in excellent condition inside and out. This is one of only 90 Avanti sedans ever produced and it is the number 4 in production of the 90 built. The car is completely all original with only 6k original miles on it. We got this car out of the estate of its second owner that bought it in 1991. He was an avid Avanti collector and it even spent time in a museum for many years. The car was ordered in the best colors of black on black with the optional moon roof, ground effects and rear mounted TV. This was a very expensive car in its day with a window sticker price of over $50K, when a new Corvette or Cadillac was only $30K. These where all hand built cars on new full size Chevrolet Caprice chassis so they are very easy to fix and maintain. This car has its original window sticker, dealer order form, certificate of origin, owners' manual and multiple original dealers brochures from new. It was even a National Show Winner at the International Studebaker Drivers Club concours. This is truly a unique, collector's item. You either love it or hate it but it is one very rare car that is sure to draw a crowd!

Exterior:

This Avanti is in excellent original condition with its original black paint that shines amazingly. These cars have fiberglass bodies with great fit and finish. It has all original glass and rubbers in excellent shape. This is only a 6k original miles car so it was rarely used and was kept in beautiful condition. There are really no flaws to speak of on the exterior. It is sitting on its original, factory Ultra wheels with newer tires.

Interior:

The black leather interior is in excellent condition and is all original right down to the original carpet. The dash and gauge cluster is very bright and clean with all its original wood grain that is in excellent shape. Everything works in the car including the rear TV. It even has rear, wood grain trays in the back seat. Inside the trunk is very clean and original with its original spare.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives excellent. It has its 5.0L Chevrolet V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. It does not leak or smoke. The car runs and drives great just like a low mile car should. The air conditioning blows ice cold. This car is very tight and true pleasure to drive. Under the hood is original and all correct. It is turnkey and ready to cruise.
