Overview:

Here is an absolutely beautiful, 1959 Nash Metropolitan Series III Convertible. This is a very nice car, which I would say is an unmolested, original car that received a light restoration several years ago. We purchased this car from the estate of its long time owner. It was very well maintained and climate controlled garage kept. It is an original California car and is completely rust free. Really looking the car over it has a lot of original aspects, which are all great to find. Some of the chrome appears to be original, most of the interior looks to be original, it has original weather stripping around the doors and paint in the door jams and it even looks to have its original top and top boot which are both very nice. The car received a light restoration at some point in its life, several years ago. They repainted the car in its correct colors, rechromed the bumpers and installed new carpet. The car overall is in amazing condition with excellent fit and finish. It's truly hard finding one of these little Metropolitans in good condition or hasn't had a cheap amateur restoration. This one of the nicest ones I have seen in a long time and one of the most untouched ones for sure. It runs and drives excellent, just like a nice original car would that hasn't been messed with. This here is a great find and is priced under the money. Just think of all the fun you could have with this little beauty and the best part is that it is turn key and ready to enjoy!

Exterior:

This little Nash has beautiful paint done in its original colors of Autumn Yellow and white. As I said before the car was painted a few years ago but was a very quality job and has held up excellent. It was all hand rubbed to smooth finish. The sides are super straight and the fit and finish is excellent. I believe the car was only painted once as it still has its original paint in the door jams and original weather stripping that is in great condition still. The car has no dings or dents and shows great. All the chrome on the car is excellent with a mix of original and rechromed. It has all original glass, which is all excellent. It is sitting on its original wheels and hubcaps that have been restored and correct white wall tires.

Interior:

The interior is in excellent condition and looks to be all original with the exception of newer carpet. The dash and gauge cluster is very clean. Everything works in the car including the wipers and original AM radio. It even looks to have its original soft top and top boot which are both still in great condition. Inside the trunk is very clean and nice with its original trunk mat and lug wrench.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives excellent. It has correct 1500cc 4cyl engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. It does not leak or smoke. The car runs and drives amazing. This car is very tight and true pleasure to drive. It drives like a true untouched original. Under the hood is nicely detailed and all correct. It is turnkey and ready to cruise.
