Overview:

Here is a beautiful 1955 Chrysler Imperial 4-door sedan in excellent condition inside and out. This is a very solid, rust free California car showing only 45K believed to be original miles. It is super rare being one of only 7,840 ever built in 1955 with only a fraction around yet today. This car has working factory air conditioning that is amazing. It is power by its original 331ci Hemi V8 engine and Powerflite automatic transmission. The car is finished in its original color of beautiful and elegant sky gray with a beautiful gray interior. It is truly an excellent example of a '55 Imperial. These cars are getting harder and harder to find especially in this kind of condition!!

Exterior:

This Imperial had one repaint in its original color of elegant Sky Gray done a few years ago. The paint was done right, as it is super straight down the sides and it was hand rubbed to a smooth finish. It has a few very minor chips that have been touched but you really have to be looking for them. The car has never been hit or hurt and the fit and finish is excellent. It has a solid, rust free body and underside. All the chrome bright work on the car is in really nice condition. The bumpers could be original as they very nice but show nice. All of the glass and rubbers are very good in the car also. It is sitting on its original wheels and hubcaps with excellent Goodyear wide white wall radial tires!

Interior:

The beautiful interior has been all redone in gray cloth and looks excellent. It was redone using the original pattern and extremely close to original material. The dash and gauge cluster is very bright and clean. It has a mint steering wheel. All the gauges, lights, interiors light, horn power windows, wipers, A/C and heated all work great. The original AM radio does not work but it has a hidden AM/FM/CD player hidden in the glove box. Inside the truck is very clean with its correct spare and jack.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives excellent. It has ice-cold factory air conditioning that works great with a newly rebuilt compressor, receiver-dryer and expansion valve. This car needs absolutely nothing mechanically and is ready to drive and enjoy. The previous owner rebuilt the heads and installed new lifters in the engine. He had the carburetor rebuilt as well as the starter, radiator and brake master cylinder. The suspension is nice and tight as been all serviced. This car is ready to drive and enjoy!!
