Overview:

Here is a very rare find! It's a 1953 Packard Caribbean convertible that is one of only 750 ever produced. This car is a true garage find as it has had the same owner since 1980. The car was restored over 35 years ago and has been in storage for the past 20 years. It has had the same owner since not 1980 that just recently passed away and the estate sold the car to us. It been all cleaned up and serviced by us to be an excellent looking and driving classic Packard. The car has a very solid body, very nice chrome, beautiful leather interior and a like new tan canvas top. The weakest part of the car is the 35-year paint, which is showing its age today. It can be driven, as it is with the great character it has or repaint it and have a $100K car. We priced the car extremely fairly and this is excellent deal to get a good Packard Caribbean at half the price of others out there for sale!!

Exterior:

This Packard shows great for a fun driver just the way it sits. As I said before this car was restored over 35 years ago and in storage for about 20 years. The car was finished in the best factory color of maroon. Being in storage for the past 20 years the paint is showing its age. From 5 to 10 feet away the car looks amazing. Upon close inspection there is a lot of flaws and crazing in the paint finish. The body is super straight and solid as a rock with excellent body and panel fit. Underneath the car is all original and almost completely rust free. All the chrome on the car is in very nice condition still. I would say it's a 7 out of ten. There is one ding on the left rear chrome wheel well molding. All the glass in the car excellent and even the rubbers are pretty good. The factory chrome wire wheels are near perfect with amazing chrome. The hubcaps could use some new paint in the Packard logo and the tires are getting a little aged. Again this car is fine to drive the way it sits with great character or with a light cosmetic restoration you would have a gorgeous $100,000 plus car!!

Interior:

The genuine leather interior in is done beautifully and looks amazing still. They redid the interior in the correct color, high-end leather with the correct carpet. The dash is very clean and beautiful. The steering wheel looks very nice with a tittle cracking behind the wheel that you can't see while being behind the wheel. You would not have to do anything to the interior of this car, as it looks amazing already. Everything works in the car except the radio. The tan canvas top is correct and in like new condition that fits perfect. It also has its correct top boot. Inside the trunk is nicely finished off in maroon.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives excellent. This car needs absolutely nothing mechanically and is ready to drive and enjoy. The original 327ci straight 8cyl engine always starts on its first try and it purrs like a kitten. Under the hood is all original and correct. It could really stand tall with I nice engine detail to finish the car off.
