Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *2+ (Stunning Multiple Award Winner)

Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1960 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday Sport Sedan. This car is absolutely stunning inside and out in every way. It was sold new to a Mr. Paul Riley in January 1960 at Clipp's Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Hanover, Pennsylvania. In November 1988 the car was sold to a Mr. Jean-Roland Lachance of Saint-Gédéon-de-Beauce, Quebec, Canada and then in July of 1999 it was sold to its most recent owner, a Mr. Ronald Goulet of Montreal, Canada. From 1997 - 2004 it began to be shown and won multiple 1st place prizes, trophies, People's Choice Awards', etc at car shows and Concours D'Elegance. In that time span it won over 30 awards throughout its show history including plaques and trophies etc. The car comes with its original owners manual, original protect-o-plate, and original sales brochure. The car has been on the cover of several magazines and featured in the newspaper in Montreal, Canada. It is an absolutely stunning car that received an extremely high quality, very expensive and very extensive cosmetic restoration that is usually only reserved for high-end convertibles but this was done to a 4-door and you will not find a nicer one anywhere in the world. They started with an absolutely gorgeous car to begin with as the car only has 71k actual miles, has a completely near mint all original interior, original paint in the jams, a gorgeous all original trunk and a fit and finish that is second to none. Just to give you an example, the paint and chrome on this car today with the quality it was done, would cost $30-40k at least to do today. So in essence you're really getting the car for nothing and don't have to waste any time. It's as close to getting a brand new 1960 Oldsmobile you will ever get, even under the hood is completely detailed and stunning. Do not miss out on this car as it will not last long.

Exterior: *Condition #2+

The exterior of this Oldsmobile is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and near perfection. This car received a very very high quality cosmetic restoration as the paint and the chrome were done in the 90s and it looks like it was just done yesterday. It is truly remarkable how amazing the paint and fit and finish of this car really is. It was finished in its original color of Garnet Mist Metallic and the quality of the paint is incredible with a smooth as glass finish that shines like a sheet of glass. All the chrome, trim and brightwork was redone when it was painted to an absolute show quality condition. All of the glass is original and crystal clear, as well as all the lenses and all of the emblems. It is sitting on its original wheels with mint deluxe finned hubcaps wrapped in brand new Coker wide white wall tires. The sides are as straight as an arrow and the car is 100% completely rust-free and solid as a rock. You will not find a nicer 1960 Oldsmobile anywhere in the world. This is the car to own.

Interior: *Condition #2-

The interior of this Oldsmobile is completely all original right down to the carpet and it is stunning to say the least. It has a matching two-tone red metallic leather and cloth interior that would be absolutely perfect except for a couple tiny seems splitting on the seat in the fabric. These are hardly noticeable but they are there in full disclosure and could be replaced using the correct SMS materials. The rest of the interior is in near perfect condition. The dash, dash pad and gauge cluster look absolutely brand new with incredible detail, chrome and brightwork. The steering wheel looks like new with no cracks and or chips. The headliner is in immaculate condition and even the original carpet looks almost brand new. It has original paint in the door jams and even the weatherstripping appears to be original and is still soft and pliable and looks brand new. Everything in the car works including the directionals, courtesy lights, gauges, horn, AM radio, wipers, power windows, etc except for the clock, which works intermittently, and the heater blower motor. Inside the trunk is like new, it is one of the nicest original trunks we have ever seen. It has all its original paint, material, spare, jack, jack instructions, weatherstripping, and trunk light, all of which look gorgeous. Overall you will not find a better looking original interior on a 1960 Olds anywhere in the world.

Mechanically: *Condition #2+

Mechanically this Oldsmobile is in amazing condition. It appears, although we don't have the complete history, that the drivetrain was completely rebuilt because it runs almost too perfect. It shows 71k original miles and it is truly an amazing running and driving car. Under the hood has been completely detailed back to original specs and might have been even slightly over-restored to be honest, as it looks phenomenal, but has the correct colors and labels etc. It drives very strong and straight down the road, it brakes excellent, steers and turns excellent and tight, sounds amazing and needs absolutely nothing. Overall it is just an excellent mechanically as it is cosmetically and is a truly unbelievable car.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3++

The underside of this Oldsmobile is absolutely beautiful as well. It is extremely clean and completely 100% rust-free. It appears to have been restored underneath and if you cleaned the light dirt off, as we show you in the video, it appears to have the same stunning finish detail as the rest of the car. The floor pans looks beautiful and even the rear end looks the same way. If you spent a day cleaning underneath it would look like a brand new car or even better than showroom new. The exhaust looks older but just has some surface corrosion and is the only component that would keep it from looking brand new. With a new exhaust system and a little time cleaning it would truly look like a show car underneath. All the suspension components are clean and tight, the floor panels and frame are solid as a rock and overall it is amazing just like the rest of the car.
