Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #2 (Near Perfect Driver)

This is an absolutely gorgeous 1953 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible in amazing condition inside and out. This car was professionally restored and received a complete body-off frame, every nut and bolt, total restoration which turned out absolutely spectacular. This car has been restored for what we are guessing 5-10 years and it came out of a large private collection. It is one of the finest '53 convertibles we have seen in a long time and it had to have started with a beautiful rust free car as the fit and finish is absolutely spectacular throughout. There is a lot of attention to detail and just overall is an amazing find. The car shows 60k miles and I would guess that is probably original as it is such a nice straight car. It appears to be completely rust free as it has all of the original sheet metal, floor pans, and everything that are in excellent condition. The underside of the car is totally detailed and looks like a top. I would rate this car a 1 but it has been driven a little bit and it's a little older restoration so it's not perfect but pretty near perfect. As you know the '53 Cadillac is one of the most desirable years to own a Cadillac in, the '53 Eldorado are bringing in the range of 200-250k and this is the next best thing to that. The way this car was restored, to have it redone today, would cost you several hundreds of thousands of dollars and we have it priced at just a fraction of that cost, which is a bargain. It is finished in one of the prettiest of color combinations which is Artisan Ochre, which was an Eldorado color in fact, with a stunning brown and tan leather interior and a tan canvas top. It is very well equipped with Cadillac chrome wire wheels with white wall tires and a continental kit with a full-size matching chrome wire spare wheel. They only built 8,367 examples of these cars in 1953 and this car is also highly desirable as it has power steering and power brakes which makes it a pleasure to drive. We just had the car completely serviced and it is turnkey ready to go as it runs and drives amazing, looks amazing and does not need a thing. If you are looking for a really really good car this is the car for you.

Exterior: *Condition #2+

The exterior on this car shows absolutely amazing and it is a true traffic stopper finished in striking Artisan Ochre Yellow which is actually an Eldorado color. In full disclosure this car started life as a Forrest Green vehicle but has undergone a full complete color change as the car was totally taken apart and does not effect the value one bit as it's a much prettier color. It is a little older restoration and has held up amazing which goes to show the quality of the restoration. Nothing has deteriorated and almost looks as if the car was done yesterday. Just a very high quality restoration that will last for decades if taken well care of. They must have started with a very clean and solid car as it shows 60k original miles, which we do believe to be original. The fit and finish on it is absolutely spectacular all the way around with amazing fitting body lines. The body is as straight as an arrow with a high quality base/clear coat paint job on it. It is completely rust free with no signs of having any repairs done to it. The car was hand buffed and has a smooth as glass finish. All of the chrome trim on the car was redone in show quality condition and looks absolutely amazing leaving no pieces of chrome or stainless behind. The lenses and emblems have all been redone and has gorgeous gold Cadillac emblems with perfect plastic pressed inserts in them. It is sitting on a set of absolutely perfect chrome Cadillac wire wheels with wide white wall bias-ply tires. That includes a rear continental kit that really sets the car apart with a matching wire wheel spare on it giving it the real sleek long look. All of the glass in the car has been replaced and is crystal clear. All of the rubber and seals have been replaced with the chrome frames being re-chromed around the windows making it show quality condition. It has a mint high dollar tan canvas top on a completely restored frame with a beautiful matching top boot. This cars looks just don't quit.

Interior: *Condition #2

The Interior in this car is absolutely gorgeous and very well done. It has been completely redone and did not leave anything out. It was done in a brown and tan two-tone leather that looks absolutely striking against the Artisan Ochre exterior paint. The seats were refinished in the correct pattern and style with very high quality and high dollar leather. It features beautiful carpets and redone door panels to match the seats. The dash, steering wheel and steering column was all refinished and repainted in show quality condition. All of the chrome inside of the car ,,knobs and everything, was all redone. The gauge cluster is rebuilt, the interior is just absolutely spectacular. In full disclosure if you look very closely there are two little hairline cracks in the bottom of the steering wheel but you don't notice this when jumping in the vehicle. Inside the jams are gorgeous with all new weatherstripping and new nice sill plates. The inside of the trunk is all completely redone, even the jack has been restored making he trunk truly amazing. It also comes with a shop manual and car cover. Everything works inside the car including the power windows, horn, heater, gauges, wipers, lights, power top, courtesy lights. The only exceptions being the radio, which turns on but does not seek, the clock, and the vacuum operated antenna, which may just be a little vacuum leak. Overall the interior is absolutely gorgeous and sure to please any future owner.

Mechanically: *Condition #2

Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. When it came out of the collection we took it right to our Cadillac mechanic to have him go through it front to back, top to bottom checking out all of the lights, changing the fluids, and did a few minor things to the car. Otherwise, everything was brand new in the car, after being restored, from the rebuilt engine and transmission, the fuel system, the brake system, front and rear suspension, etc. Underneath the hood looks like a piece of jewelry, restored to better than show quality condition and looking absolutely gorgeous when you pop the hood. It is powered by its correct 331ci OHV V8 engine with hydraulic lifters, a 4-barrel carburetor and with power steering and power brakes for ease of driving. It has a dual exhaust system with correct mufflers and resonators that exits through the rear bumper which is also correct. No corners where cut on this car at all. It drives amazingly smooth as can be down the road and always fires right up. It goes down the road like a dream, very tight and straight. You can take this car off the truck and immediately cruise or take to car shows or just do whatever you want. You don't need to worry about doing a bunch of stuff with this one.

Under Carriage: *Condition #2

This Under Carriage on this car looks absolutely amazing as it was a complete body-off frame restoration and the whole underside of the body was finished to look like the top of the car. The frame has been powder coated in gloss black. You could put mirrors under the car it looks just absolutely gorgeous. It does show a little bit of its age and that it has been driven a little bit as there are some rock chips here and there and a little dirt but overall it looks absolutely gorgeous with the new exhaust system and new suspension, just like a piece of art.
