Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #3+ (Excellent Driver/Survivor)

This 1963 Studebaker Avanti R1 is a true survivor that is mostly all original from front to back. With only 63k pampered original miles. The Silver Mist Metallic Paint looks to be mostly all original with a completely all original interior right down to the carpet. This R1 is loaded with unique options, including the R2 Paxton Supercharged option which was possibly dealer installed, as it is all correct with the correct supercharged carburetor. It even has the ultra rare and valuable, original set of 15” Halibrand magnesium wheels. The way this car is equipped, it could have been a very special car from new. It probably still has its build sheet hidden in the car someplace, as it is so original. This vehicle was just acquired out of an estate of a very large private collection. Do not miss out on your chance to own, one of the finest surviving Studebaker Avanti's around.

Exterior: *Condition #3

This car is mostly all original with about 90% original paint that is in excellent condition with a great shine with only minor chips touched up due to the age. The body on this Avanti is very straight and is in amazing condition. It has never been hit, hurt or apart. All of the original chrome, rubber, lenses, and glass are in excellent condition. This is definitely one of the cleanest, mostly original Studebaker Avanti's around. The Halibrand magnesium wheels are originals, not reproductions. A set recently sold on Ebay for around $7k. It has an older set dunlop tires that look good but if your going to be driving it. I would replace them due to age.

Interior: *Condition #2-

The black interior is completely all-original right down to the carpet. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and the only reason for the 2- is the original carpet does have a little fading as seen in the video as well as a small sag in the headliner. The headliner, can easily taken out and reglued down. All of the chrome, wood, and dish pad is in perfect condition and looks like new. Everything inside is in working condition with the exception of the clock, but all of the lights and other gauges work correctly. The trunk has what appears to be the original spare wheel with the original jack instructions and looks amazing with all of the factory bound carpet.

Mechanically: *Condition #3

This 289ci engine in this Avanti appears to be original according to the numbers and is in strong running condition. It has an added R2 Paxton Supercharger on it and a factory supercharged carburetor. We strongly believe the supercharged was put on at the dealership when new as it look to have been on the car since day one and is all correct. Mechanically, the brakes were just gone through, the carburetor was rebuilt and the fuel system was also just gone through and fully cleaned. The originality of this vehicle continues under the hood with the original hood pad, ignition shielding, weather stripping, wiper bag, and chalk marking from the factory that matches the trim tag. You will not be disappointed by the drivability on this one.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3

This Under Carriage on this vehicle is clean as can be. The frame is completely rust free and the suspension appears to be original but tight feeling. The only thing that looks recently replaced is the exhaust. The rest of the car does not appear to leak at all and is very clean and original.
