Overview:

Here is one of the best deals out there on a 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This is a very clean driver that can be driven the way it sits or excellent car to do some TLC to and make a showpiece. We recently acquired this car out of an estate. The gentleman owned the car for the past 17 years and was part of his collection of over 20 other Cadillac's and Lincolns. He purchased the car out of the Phil Maloof collection that had over 100 vintage Cadillac's from New Mexico. The Maloof's were famous for The Palms hotel in Vegas and Coors Beer distributing. For the past 10 years this car just sat in a warehouse. After we purchased the car, we had the fuel system gone through, the brakes gone through, installed a new battery, installed new tires and changed the fluids on the car. We did everything to get the car up running and driving. The car runs and drives very well around town but we have not taken it on any long distance trips. It shows very well for a driver currently but upon close inspection there are some flaws in the car, which I will go further into later in the ad. It has very solid body and looks to be all original chrome that is in great condition. The interior was redone years ago but again shows very nicely for a driver. We have this car priced to sell and on the low side of the market taking in that it is not perfect. We usually sell these '59 Coupe Deville's for around $60k needing nothing, so this one is a bargain!!

Exterior:

This Cadillac shows great from 5 feet away but upon close inspection there is some flaws. It was painted years ago in its original color of Gotham Gold with a Dover White top. The paint is nice and shiny but is showing its age. There is some light crazing, some chips touched up, a small dent in the hood, a small dent in the roof, a small dent in the trunk lid and several other small imperfections in the paint. Again it can be driven the way it sits and look great but to be perfect, it would need a new paint job. The body is overall nice and straight and everything lines up nicely. The driver's door is a little out of adjustment as it is a little high in the back. The underside is nice and original with no signs of rust or previous rust repair. I believe this car has always been in the southwest. All the chrome and trim on the car looks to be original and in excellent condition. There are a couple little scratches and imperfections just due to being original but in my opinion you would not have to redo any of it, if you put a gorgeous paint job on the car, it really shines great and looks great. All of the glass in the car is very nice with the exception of a small chip in the windshield. The weather stripping and rubbers are showing there age and should be replaced except the trunk rubber. It is sitting on its original wheels with beautiful original hubcaps and newer Coker wide white wall radial tires that look great on the car.

Interior:

The interior was redone several years ago and is showing its age in a few spots. But overall looks nice for a driver. The dash pad was recovered, the horn ring is broken and the steering wheel looks nice except for one small crack on the top. All the chrome and trim on the interior looks very nice. If you want to leave it a nice driver the interior looks great, if you want a show car you would want to redo it in my opinion. I tested out everything on the car and the items that don't work are the gas gauge, power vent windows, clock, A/C, radio, power antenna, a couple of the courtesy lights and front up and down on the power seat. What do work are all the power windows, horn, speedo, temp gauge, lights and the rest of the power seat positions. Inside the trunk is very nicely finished off with its correct spare and tire cover.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives very nicely after all the work we did to it coming out of storage. We went through the brakes, fuel system, carb, changed fluids and installed a new battery in the car. We have only driven it around my shop and everything was fine. I would check it over a little more before I took it on any long trips. It has its correct 390ci V8 the sounds great and runs strong and it shifts good. Under the hood is all stock and original looking. The air conditioning is all there but needs to be serviced. It does not smoke and there are no major leaks. Drive and enjoy it today!!
